ASP.NET Core with Docker

The Wikipedia page have it defined as:

So you can say that ASP.NET is a mature web platform that provides all the services that you require to build enterprise-class server-based web applications using .NET on Windows.

Docker is a tool that allows you to easily deploy applications in a sandbox (called containers) to run on the host operating system.

Which means that it allow us to deploy a complete app without worrying about the environment in which the app is going to run.

The key benefit of Docker is that it allows users to package an application with all of its dependencies into a standardized unit for software development.

Once you are done installing Docker, test your Docker installation by running the following:

Now that we have the basic structure running, let´s change a few things around and change a few others.

First lets reference images by links instead of having them on the package, because if you can reference the image instead of getting them be part of the data that you are using on the package, we can still use them but we will move less data, our app will be lighter and faster to compile.

I made a few style adjustment afterwards to make sure that the page is looking better after changing the slide images for the carousel.

You can make your own adjustments, remember that you have to limit the size of the images, if not, you will have some of them that are to large for the screen.

Now on the contact view, I will add embedded tweets, just to show you that it can be done in a very simple manner and to add some content to this view.

2- Then select profile from the options.

3- Change the last part to the name of the profile you want to show

4- Use the first option to get a list of tweets (what we want) and the second one if you want a twitter button to go to that profile.

5- And there you have the code to embed, if you want you can customize before you copy the code.

6- With this we have our tweets to show on our page, easy enough. I added a second one just for good mesure.
