The Contract

My nine years of wandering, my nine years of solitude… Each year, stings like a Nazgul sword… The search for origins of betrayal are finally over.

My findings of animalistic ethology make me sad. But this battle is over, and I stand corrected. It is a miracle that anyone will ever be true to their word. That most of them like sheep will try to move into middle of the herd, while wolves will be slaughtering their friends…

The betrayal of Kufans

…About 30,000 people appeared before Muslim ibn Aqil and pledged their allegiance to Husayn ibn Ali as their Imam…

They continued to disperse so that by the time evening came and Muslim Ibn Aq’il prayed the evening prayer, he had only thirty men with him in the mosque. When he saw that it was evening and he only had that group with him, he left the mosque and headed for the gates of Kinda. He reached the gates with only ten of them (left) with him. When he left the gate, there was no one with him to guide him. He looked around but could see no one to guide him along the road, to show him to his house and to give him personal support if an enemy appeared before him.

The informers

Understanding the mechanism can save a small percentage of us. There is no viable antidote against betrayal.

The hearts of men are easily corrupted

Since the general population always breaks the contract, in every iteration, in every century, in every interaction among themselves or with a Sufi… There are only 2 clear exit points;
